LES PETITES VOIX
The Louisiana Choral Foundation asks you to join us as we welcome Mrs. Melonee Cooper as conductor of Les Petites Voix for the 2025-2026 Season. She is a well-known choral director to Southwest Louisiana as well as the state of Louisiana. She studied performance at LSU and graduated from McNeese State University where she earned a Master of Music Education as well as Kodály Certification. Mrs. Cooper taught choral music at Dequincy Middle and DeQuincy High Schools for 28 years as well as private voice lessons. She currently teaches at Lamar University in Beaumont and she also shares her many talents with her church. LCF is looking forward to Mrs. Cooper sharing her many talents with Les Petites Voix. Mrs. Cooper will continue to focus on music literacy, vocal training, and performance of the highest standards.
Les Petites Voix will continue to meet on Monday afternoon and is open to singers in 4th-12th grades with unchanged voices. The venue will change to University United Methodist Church located at 3501 Patrick Street in Lake Charles. Les Petites Voix parents and students will enter the door in the center garden area to the right of the sanctuary.
